TV ~ junkies ~

Good thing we started walking to avoid TV butt!
-
Next week is premier week yeah... but since local broadcasting has improved so much it's going to be a bit more difficult to manage our TV schedule. We might have to consider getting Tivo or another TV. I vote for the latter. Our family room already has two and we play them simultaneously whether its the same program or not. It's amazing how easy it is to actually watch both at the same time and enjoy two shows at the same time. When a third show is on we then use go back and use the remote to it's full capability... I can't believe admitting this. Anyway, we aren't big on recording and watching later so... who knows, we'll just have see how it goes.
-
Well, Last Comic Standing: I thought Lavell would have won 'cos he really gave us some good laughs but the Hemi Guy which is how we refer to him because of the commercial and we can't seem to remember his name; well he was pretty good and most likely it helped that he didn't curse like Lavell. I can see where that could have come into play with some voters.
-
BB8 went to the cat litter box! Accidentally got caught up watching the all stars edition last year so we decided to watch this season for the first time but we boycotted the last two shows and most likely will never watch again.
-
Biggest Loser is such and encouraging show. It helps get us up and out.
-
Yeah! Since I'm a dancer at Y Dancing with the Stars is starting Monday! Last year we were so hooked that we took one of the TV's out and put it in the bed of the truck so we could watch while giving out treats on Halloween otherwise neither one of us would have responded to the doorbell. Most of the parents walking their kids had good comments and it distracted some of the parents from their task at hand. Considering we're a corner lot, for the last few years as the sub has expanded with kids we have intentionally made ourselves obvious with our costume wigs, the TV and the blood gum that way most all of the older kids would remember us and we would not get egged at the end of the night; such a dreaded prank. We've been blessed so far over the years.

-
But oh my goodness - we or I also want to see:
-
Ughly Betty
Grey's Anatomy
The Bachelor and the crazy gals
Gordon Ramsey's show since Hell's Kitchen is over
The Nine - I hope it's not reruns
24 - well we've got time
Prison Break
Bones
House
Lost
Private Practice
How I Met Your Mother
And Back To You
Idol - soon
Desperate Housewives
Chuck: looks interesting
The Big Bang: looks funny - we'll see
Smarter Than A 5th Grader
Do you know the Lyrics (is that the name?)
America's Funniest Video's
Just For Laughs
Most Outrageous Moments
So you think you can dance - after Idol
Sports Tournaments - mainly golf & tennis
Football games
Garden shows
Ministries: TBN & 3abn
Reruns:
Raymond
George Lopez
King of Queen's
Seinfeld
Friends
Frasier

--
I feel like I'm missing a few... but even so you can see why we should probably add another TV or adjust to recording.

Good thing we don't have cable!

Boy does it make a difference when you get the beauty sleep you need!
*
I am so surprised Dad of The Lot got up early and because I made coffee our day took off! Went for breakfast, did our errands and home; all before 11 AM, WOW!
*
So I finished my main goal for the day and the formal living room & entry looks fabulous!
*
Lolly gaged the rest of the day but I cooked an awesome salmon dinner and I even went out to play with the dogs in this horrible heat!
*
Pat myself on the back :) I exercised several times throughout the day... yeeha
*
I left hubby alone to work on his presentation for Monday but the dogs got him up and out to play throughout the day. They love him so much Y
*
Oh did I mention we both have maintained our weight loss even with all the snacking we've done, Cool Beans!! I know I have seen some slight likable contouring on myself and I am loving this ride 'em cowgirl exerciser! ;)

... Get Your Sexy On ...

Too funny that song just came on while typing about the wolf whistle
*
I may not know the name of the song but how apropo
*
;)

Wolf Whistle

So after my SPOOK this morning...
*
On the way home I was hungry but thank the Lord the lines at our neighborhood fast food favorites were long. No problem - I will just park and go into the grocery store. I'll get the most for my money and healthier food! Good choice ME
*
Well, I was feeling good in my simple summer dress and little heels and apparently a couple of guys thought so too. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard the wolf whistle. I did not look up to encourage but I sure did smile inside :)
*
I can not remember the last time I got a wolf whistle and apparently they wanted to take a second look; I was returning the cart and saw the vehicle turn around and head out towards my direction. I nonchalantly hurried to the car and left but HEY how nice was that?
*
*
P.S. Your whistles are still more meaningful honey ;)

P...

proclivity - what the?
*
So I decided to look this word up today because it invaded its way into our family this weekend. Here we were talking about poison ivy and how it seems lol that I was growing it like a house plant! Silly me but here comes the husband throwing out the notion that I am intentionally growing a proclivity... or we seem to have a proclivity... anyhow I decided to find out about this sudden word invasion.
*
Called the hubby to verify I was looking up the correct word plethora only to find out I have been haunted by the wrong word haha that it was proclivity. So I asked... 'how is it you learned this word honey? Or did you just pull it out of the deep darkness of your brain?' his response was 'from the crevices of my mind so what does it mean?' My thought: I would have thought you would have known since your using it! Oh and he says I used it in the wrong context... whatever
*
Any who: well after looking it up I do believe he said it because it just felt neat to say; you know how some words just feel good to say and sound so cool? However, after looking both words up well... I like how 'the both' of them feel to say and oh how smart they make me feel too ;)
*
I know I know, I left you hanging... I felt the need to share the curiosity... smiles

Feeling Dumb

So the wife keeps telling me to post something so here goes:

I ran my dogs hard today well I usually do everyday but something different happen today. When I arrived home as the norm I went out to throw the tennis ball for the girls and play football with the boy till he gets bored. Well, after throwing the ball a few times, I threw it again and the pack ran after it. The oldest one snapped at it aggressively as she always does but this time I went and hid as part of the game we play together. After a short time I noticed none of them returned. That was odd so I went to look for them. I could tell by the way the oldest (Crikit) was acting that the ball was still lost. It has happened in the past where she knocked it just right like playing volleyball and it has gone over the fence and down the road. So I went outside the fence to look for it. After a couple of minutes of searching I realized the ball must still be in the yard. I returned to the backyard to find the oldest still franticly searching for the ball. The boy (Sparky) was running around with his ball in his mouth and the baby (Ginger) was looking at me as if to ask ‘where did you go?’ so I asked the little one ‘where’s the ball Ginger where’s the ball?’ She looked at me, she looked at the tree, she looked at me again; so I ask her again ‘Ginger where’s the ball?’ And the funny thing was… As though to say to me ’come here stupid’ she looked at me looked up into the tree, looked back at me again and then stared me down as until I walked over to her and began looking where she was looking. About two minutes of searching, I found it stuck in the limbs right above her right where she was looking up.

Proud Dad moment: My little baby dog is so smart

So that's current events as of today and I posted so the wife should stop asking for a while

Potter extended

So the British Open disrupted the completion of the Potter weekend and Monday's reality TV slowed the reading but tonight's the night... isn't that a Brady Bunch mom saying... polident or something? okay back on track, the last couple of chapters will be concluded tonight.
*
It sure is trying to keep from learning the ending - dodging the convo's, darting the Internet and finger ready on the mute button... oh too funny, the commercial with the Brady mom and tonight's the night just came on TV how freaky is that? It was like forever ago that I last saw it... weird timing

A Mixture of Blessings

This morning sure was a mini trial... ugh! My fault though 'cos last night when I was settling the dogs for the night I saw my tennis shoes and I remember thinking I better put them out of reach... guess what, yup I forgot to move them. I put so many things out for the little one to chew in case she couldn't sleep but dang, she decided I needed slip-on's! So what did she do? She chewed the backs off both shoes! I could not help but yell the moment I saw them, I smacked her hinny and locked her outside while the other two got to stay in. So why is it I feel bad whenever I scold her... after all she is still considered a puppy; plus I did leave the shoes in her reach... and she does, like the others, bring me such joy and unconditional love Y ...
*
SO, who can describe how wonderful it is to hear and walk out with good news when you must visit the doctor. As I grow older, I realize more and more that it's such a blessing to have good health. Well, today's visit was just that and to top it off, when I stopped by the dentist office to pick up teeth imprints I realize, I made such a good choice in changing to this office. I met and had a good chat with the wife, received a meaningful compliment from the technician and enjoyed the warm welcome from my hygienist and the receptionist. Don't get me wrong, I liked my last Dentist and his staff but this is the right one for me.
*
Okay, the guilt of scolding the little one, Ginger, gave me the energy to go out and play bubbles for a bit when I returned home. How could I not? After all, I receive a blessing every time I return home to the eager greetings from my pack. Especially after this mornings events, Gingi was so eager for me to pet her. She needed to know everything was okay again and if she was forgiven or still loved. Well, who knows how their minds interprets but I love their personalities, their all so unique. So, Sparky loved the bubble time too and of course Black Beauty, Crikit, enjoyed running for her ball. Good thing I took the time 'cos its raining now. We've only received a pinch but supposedly there is a storm to come.
