Health Notes

~sigh~ 1st day with no soda...
I'm already feeling the withdrawal...
-
I've tried to quit many times over. The longest I have gone is maybe 45 days?
My goal is to refrain from buying any for the home pleasure and only have it when we go out. ugh... That just sounds cruel... I've failed before but I am always willing to try and try again...
it is so unhealthy for me ~sigh~

On the positive side: we made time for a mile walk with the baby last night. She did really great considering this was one of the longest walks she has ever been on. She got scared near the end of the route when we had to pass two people walking towards us and then shortly there after a car pulled up next to the sidewalk... that's when we knew she'd had enough and wanted to be at home safe. Even her purifial vision gave her a scare. She did good though and when we got home we went out back on deck to cool down and throw the ball for the other two left home; we needed to wear them out a little before bed. Ginger seems to be a little slow moving this morning but I know she would do it again in a minute!

Hang in there with the soda withdrawals. I quit drinking Cokes (Classic Coke was my all time fave!) 2 years and 3 months ago. I didn't think I could do it either... but I did. I was drinking 3 to 4 cokes per day! Talk about caffiene withdrawal headaches! Whew! Trust me, it subsides. I haven't even taken a sip of a coke since. I can't tease myself and have them only when I go out to eat... I'd come home and want another. For me, it's all or nothing.
btw: you will feel better when you start to drink more water... honestly. darla

Hi Darla! Thanks for the encouragement. I have been trying for over 2-decades! At least every year my body gets a break during lent and I'm usually good for a few months when I attempt to keep soda to 'when we go out' to eat since it's only about 1 or 2 times a week plus I do counter act my habit by drinking equal amounts or more of water than soda intake and Green Tea too. Since we don't keep surgar or sweets in the house, actully no unhealthy food it sure would be nice to stop completely.

Congrats to you and I too was a Classic Coke lover but I think they have changed the recipe 'cos it doesn't taste as good anymore.

Nice of you to visit... I be by later... Happy Thursday
