I just have to share...

Well, yesterday I could not find my c-phone. In the evening I could hear a beep and knew I had a message but I was lazy and half attempted to look for it. However, when we were ready to call it a night, I picked up the house phone and called myself...lol that sounds just funny to me anyways, I found it deep down in the lounge chair... but point in case was that my caller ID on my home phone showed a missed call on the 21st! Oh my goodness it just so happened to be a dear 'long lost friend' and I missed the call ugh!
-
SO what did I do at a decent time this morning? You got it ~ I called her and it was as if we picked up right where we left off... Now that's a friendship
-
What a blessing!-

Happy Fall

Though it should be spring 'cos that's the type of cleaning I'm up to
Felt like doing a little rearranging in the family room
I'm now tired 'cos I can't just rearrange I detail clean throughout the process
That makes for a tiresome event but I like the new look
~
Sure can't tell it's the 1st day of fall with the weather
but
welcome

TV ~ junkies ~

Good thing we started walking to avoid TV butt!
-
Next week is premier week yeah... but since local broadcasting has improved so much it's going to be a bit more difficult to manage our TV schedule. We might have to consider getting Tivo or another TV. I vote for the latter. Our family room already has two and we play them simultaneously whether its the same program or not. It's amazing how easy it is to actually watch both at the same time and enjoy two shows at the same time. When a third show is on we then use go back and use the remote to it's full capability... I can't believe admitting this. Anyway, we aren't big on recording and watching later so... who knows, we'll just have see how it goes.
-
Well, Last Comic Standing: I thought Lavell would have won 'cos he really gave us some good laughs but the Hemi Guy which is how we refer to him because of the commercial and we can't seem to remember his name; well he was pretty good and most likely it helped that he didn't curse like Lavell. I can see where that could have come into play with some voters.
-
BB8 went to the cat litter box! Accidentally got caught up watching the all stars edition last year so we decided to watch this season for the first time but we boycotted the last two shows and most likely will never watch again.
-
Biggest Loser is such and encouraging show. It helps get us up and out.
-
Yeah! Since I'm a dancer at Y Dancing with the Stars is starting Monday! Last year we were so hooked that we took one of the TV's out and put it in the bed of the truck so we could watch while giving out treats on Halloween otherwise neither one of us would have responded to the doorbell. Most of the parents walking their kids had good comments and it distracted some of the parents from their task at hand. Considering we're a corner lot, for the last few years as the sub has expanded with kids we have intentionally made ourselves obvious with our costume wigs, the TV and the blood gum that way most all of the older kids would remember us and we would not get egged at the end of the night; such a dreaded prank. We've been blessed so far over the years.

-
But oh my goodness - we or I also want to see:
-
Ughly Betty
Grey's Anatomy
The Bachelor and the crazy gals
Gordon Ramsey's show since Hell's Kitchen is over
The Nine - I hope it's not reruns
24 - well we've got time
Prison Break
Bones
House
Lost
Private Practice
How I Met Your Mother
And Back To You
Idol - soon
Desperate Housewives
Chuck: looks interesting
The Big Bang: looks funny - we'll see
Smarter Than A 5th Grader
Do you know the Lyrics (is that the name?)
America's Funniest Video's
Just For Laughs
Most Outrageous Moments
So you think you can dance - after Idol
Sports Tournaments - mainly golf & tennis
Football games
Garden shows
Ministries: TBN & 3abn
Reruns:
Raymond
George Lopez
King of Queen's
Seinfeld
Friends
Frasier

--
I feel like I'm missing a few... but even so you can see why we should probably add another TV or adjust to recording.
-
Good thing we don't have cable!

Change can be good...

-

Question: ~ Why did you change the look of your blog?
-
Answer: ~ Well, Dad of The Lot showed interest in blogging with me when I was doing the kids blog. So when he suggested we have a joint blog I decided to make the colors 'manly' ... that way he would be more comfortable. Well, DOTL has only posted I think hmmm once... I figured I would go back to using my most favorite color ~pink~ after all I originally started the dogs blog in all pink & blue... We're getting close to the 100th post it was time for a change.
-
FYI... If it's posted in blue: ~ Dad of The Lot was on but pink... well, you get the jest :)
-

I feel a wave of happy coming over me ~ awwwwh

Health Notes

~sigh~ 1st day with no soda...
I'm already feeling the withdrawal...
-
I've tried to quit many times over. The longest I have gone is maybe 45 days?
My goal is to refrain from buying any for the home pleasure and only have it when we go out. ugh... That just sounds cruel... I've failed before but I am always willing to try and try again...
it is so unhealthy for me ~sigh~

-
On the positive side: we made time for a mile walk with the baby last night. She did really great considering this was one of the longest walks she has ever been on. She got scared near the end of the route when we had to pass two people walking towards us and then shortly there after a car pulled up next to the sidewalk... that's when we knew she'd had enough and wanted to be at home safe. Even her purifial vision gave her a scare. She did good though and when we got home we went out back on deck to cool down and throw the ball for the other two left home; we needed to wear them out a little before bed. Ginger seems to be a little slow moving this morning but I know she would do it again in a minute!

Just notes...

Taking a break with 'Ellen' so I thought I would blog a bit.
What the hay... it's already TuesDAY
-
I must be getting old 'cos I cannot remember much of what all happened yesterday. Not much on TV cept 'Prison Break' and oh intense it was. We didn't go for our evening walk 'cos we got a quick 0.05 inch of rain and because hubby saved some lives it was best for him to rest; my turn this weekend.
-
Today though much time was absorbed in front of the camera lens. I am determine to cut my last ponytail for 'locks of love' this week and I know I will never have my hair this long again! I also know I've said it before but I got lazy last time and it will happen this time. However, on the positive side, the delay will only benefit the children with a longer tail donation. This will be my 5th and unfortunately last because I'm starting to get the natural highlights. Hmm I'm not sure I feel ready... well back to business...

Peanutopolis \pE-nut-aw-pu-lis\ (noun). A state of mind making you feel very strong and powerful, almost mayor-like.

Isn't it interesting that snickers is expanding our vocabulary? Good excuse for having one... lol

So productive we were...

Boy have we made a habit of making our weekends consist of minimal errands and pampering our needs. Now we did spend today beautifying The Lot's lawn. Major grooming was the mission for the day. After all we didn't even touch it last weekend.
-
Let the dogs play in their pools and when we finished the lawn we let them have their freedom romp out front off the leashes. They sure looked happy. One of these times I must make a video and share.
-
Took some time to update the doggie blog while resting the bones. Got a second energy spurt and cut Dad of The Lots hair! ooow he looks so good if only he wasn't blog picture shy. Our reward is salmon tonight... go figure I seem to have an abundance of energy today... what a blessing. I hope everyone had a blessed weekend too.
-
So what does the new week have in store for us? Could it be the lottery? lol one could only hope. Wishing everyone a good one!
-
Mom of The Lot out for now...

Date Day!!

Hello My Friends... I choose to blame the computer for my being away...

Oh My Gosh it’s Date Day again and I haven’t posted all week! I could call myself “slacker” but I won’t lol… I’m too happy it’s Date Day already!
-
Today is a blessing in itself but a couple of unexpected one’s too… found some money in the laundry room woohoo and not coins if you know what I mean plus a couple of hours into the morning I was craving a sweet which, we try to avoid having much in the house but to my joyful surprise I came across a pack of m&m’s … how great was that lol God sure does provide!
-

SO a week in wrap up:

-
Friday was scrumptious as usual but we stuffed beyond our contentment and we skipped the Friday Night Lights and headed home. We chose to enjoy our fullness in the comfort of our lounge chairs. The kids enjoyed having us back home I’m sure because they knew they would get their bread sticks sooner than later.

Sat & Sun we were slackers… we were in slow mow… we did our shopping errands first thing Sat and then lounged the rest of the weekend. Pretty much a whole lot of rest & relaxation was our mission.

M-T-W-T well, a lot of computer problems that started last Thursday did some transplanting, a tiny bit of yard piddling, house cleaning, TV watching and hubby enjoyed many successes. An exciting addition to our week was that two of the nights included the hubby & I walking. W- we took Ginger on a short walk around the block to get our mojo going and Th- we took our big girl Crikit on a brisk walk that was just a hair short of 2-miles. Tonight will be Sparky’s turn and this time we will do the full 2-mile route. Cheers to a good health decision… hope we can keep it up since we have failed at this many times over… finger crossed!
-

Yeah! Dad of The Lot, kids & me wish everyone
Happy Weekend!

Date Day!

Yay!

Actually, I've mentioned it before, every Friday is Date Day since the hubby gets off early, yay... we treat ourselves to fun along with a food fest... while everyone else is still at work makes you feel like your sneaking, it adds to the enjoyment ...
-
We were trying a different restaurant every week but we seem to always levitate back to our favorites. Now that it's Friday Night Football season we've added that to the mix. Of course sometimes it's a movie but there aren't too many appealing ones lately and on occasion the driving range ... actually you just never know with us but you get the idea
-
I'm certain it adds to our marriage. The pet's and the project's get us on the weekends so yay...

Today's tid bits...

Goodness the holiday threw our week OFF and then...

-
Dad of The Lot came home early to throw off the day; kids couldn't wait to play (click 2 see), didn't last long: it's hot. Kids are now panting under the fan ~ oh and now chilling ~
-
Most of the morning I struggled to get the computer to work properly, even the phone was messed up. Modem reboot took care of the phone but apparently the computer has a Flash problem... oooow scary

SO we finally had the Watermelon Fest - 2-days in a row

Venting

My training tactic back-lashed!
-
We covered the carpet with protector plastic so we could train the dogs to go upstairs if we call them. Since I have trained them so well on boundaries – meaning do not get on carpet - they knew never to go up the stairs, no matter what.
-
If we ever had the misfortune of an intruder, I don’t know if they would break the rules and come up if needed. So we put down a plastic protector that you see through which, is maybe why they wouldn’t come when we called or even coaxed with treats.
-
After a couple of days working with them we got through. But then they seem to think every time we went up the stairs they were suppose to go with us. That meant a little more refining our commands.
-
But today, I needed anger management!
-
I thought all the kids were outside. I went to the downstairs restroom and while I was in there, I heard a couple of noises upstairs. I thought about all the things that could possibly make those noises and how. When I came out of the BR, little Ginger was standing in the hall. She then went to the stairs and looked up so I did too. I saw nothing at first and then WHAT DO I SEE?! Crikit - she turned the corner coming out of our room! Ugh! The carpet is not protected in that room!
-
I am furious. In order to understand my level of anger is to know that we do not wear shoes on our carpet. You never know what germs the bottom of your shoes have on them so our house rules are to put on carpet-house-shoes and take them off before stepping on the floor areas. Crikit not only sheds constantly but I don’t know how long she was up there and where all she walked.
-
Needless to say when she was descending she pause; she knew she was in trouble with just my look! Yes I spanked her. Now I have to figure out just how to make her understand what we want.
-
Okay I’m somewhat better ... I need a soda ~sigh~

Rain ON rain OFF - then repeat

I did so much of nothing today that I am bummed
Really, I did a lot but it was here and there
It looks as if I did nothing
Dang I don't like that
~
Kids weren't too happy with the day either
They must of thought I was cracked
Being that I would lock them in and then allow them out
~
At least they got to play hard when dad got home
Otherwise, they would be a handful
Since they don't seem interested in the new chews
Not even their crackers
It's got to be the weather
~
I guess they were feeling moody too
but yeah
Dad had a good day

Weekend wrap-up

This week is messed up for sure ‘cos it feels like a Sunday! I do know why – we did the majority of the lawn work today and we usually do it on Sunday.
-
Saturday we did some edging, a little mowing and a major rock & brick project both in the back and front. Crushed my thumb, which is better today, but the rest of the body muscles are beyond sore. We topped the day off with a BBQ mmmm good even if I say so myself!
-
Today while we were working the back, Crikit begged us to fill her pool. I know that sounds funny being that she’s a dog but this is how she did it. We use and old pool for all their yard toys to keep the clutter consolidated and it happen to have a bit of rain water in it so what did she do? She pushed the toys over and tried to lie in the water… of course staring us down while we were in the mist of work… how can you say no to that?So I got one of their good pools and filled it even thought we are expecting rains just so Crikit could cool off – she plays hard. Once Crikit got out to get her ball Sparky plopped down in the water. He use to dislike the pool idea in the past but I guess this muggy summer changed his ways.
-
Ginger not really interested stuck by my side so I let her go out front with me because I wanted to reinforce her good behavior off her leash. She is the best of the three in this area. A little boy riding by asked if she was going to run after him and you could see he was happy I said no. He said she was pretty… Proud mama moment
-
Well, we were going to have a watermelon feast but it began to get muggy an mosquitoes suddenly showed up. Since the kids love their watermelon it is necessary to eat it outside… it will just have to wait.
-
Were all in and resting now. Kids are napping with their new chew bones and the honey is reclining in his chair. I on the other hand am at the computer catching up on things. But the down side of it all... I forgot to mail my dearest friend in the WORLD Queen One a Birthday Wish... slap my hand. Thank goodness I know she is always forgiving... my dear friend is...

Life is good… Thank You Lord

oh what a day...

well I know that's not a song... lol
-
We're both dragging from the game last night or maybe it's all that pasta we had. Here we are thinking this morning that we were going to get an early start on the required errands to only leave like an hour after we first headed to the door... early start my butt
-
Well the pharmacy gals were nice but it still was difficult to deal with, paying them $50 for my new meds when I had just called two days earlier to ask the price and they told me $14 & change. So to appease ourselves we tried most all of the demo table foods. Had the breakfast stuff, the lunch kind of stuff and definitely the desert; had our fruit and even a shot of healthy junk lol notice I called the healthy items junk? Came away with a bigger bill than we had expected but it was fun; with the exception of the two witches in line behind us ... I'll just say RUDE otherwise I will rant on for a while... next
-
Arrived home to put away the cold stuff and head back out to the other store to complete the list. This time it wasn't as fun. So much traffic, I thought people were going to leave the city being that it was a 3-day weekend - dang my last nerve is pulsing... in addition, it seemed as if we could not find anything we had on our list... bummer... somehow we still had a surprise at the register... sigh
-
So, the kids were glad when we arrived home and they realized we were staying. Gave them their rawhide's and we settled in for some college football... ugh! Our main team lost : (
-
Played with the kids before it got dark and did some fig maintenance. To our surprise we found a frog that made its home under our center one... so we left the tree alone and gave it a water down. We named our new backyard friend Froggie. I sure hope he can find his way out of the yard if he's lost... the silly things I worry about!
-
Back to the college football games, watching the babies enjoy their chews and unwind. I feel like I haven't rested in days ~
-
oh what a day... MOTL out
-

Oh What A Night ...

Isn't that a song?
-
We pigged out! waddled over to... okay drove - needed the MEGA ticket and then we headed to the stadium and captured a great space. Met a fun family during the ticket window wait and another batch of fun individuals during the rain delay wait at the stairwell but we got the seats we wanted and yeah most of the game was played in front of us. The bands were okay and after the opening rain storm the weather was fantastic! The team we chose to support WON and we left with 41 seconds left in the game, 'sped' walked to the truck and had a fabulous departure! yeah NO wait!!
-
Kids were ecstatic when we got home most likely because we left them locked in because of the expected rainstorms and I'm sure they were crossing their little paws ... thinking ... hurry hurry hurry - it's easy to get forgiveness though ... just share a bread stick! haaay
-
Off to do the Saturday stuff... MOTL out

Dealing with the PAW's

Today seemed to be going along merrily and then what the hay?!
-
-
Well, it's typical for Crikit to run after the garbage or recycle truck but when I opened the back door, giving them access to their doggie door, they each shot thru it 'like a bat out of...' growling and barking as if they were chasing down an intruder!. They almost took the screen door off not to mention the punishment the flap received... dang!
-
No clue as to why this sudden freaked behavior. I saw nothing and no one. I could hear the recycle truck but nonetheless, their actions were odd to say the least...
-
Crikit - did something to her back leg and she suddenly has a limp
-
Sparky - re-injured his front paw nail
-
Ginger - cracked a back paw nail
-
-

Hello kids - if ya just stop flying down the stairs in one-leap maybe this wouldn't happen... ~sigh~ if only they could understand what I am saying and let me cut them nails w/o fighting me - then just maybe...
-
Good thing it began to rain, their stuck inside and will have to rest their paws. So as you can see - I did a little venting and now... I shall return to my tasks at hand... laundry - yippee (I'll leave you to imagine the sarcasm?) lol

Lost Dog Adventure

& she had the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen...
-
What a morning! My dogs were going APE…. And that bark means loose dog. So I run to the window and all I can see a tail wagging outside the fence. Dang I’m not dress yet but living on the corner gives us the self inflicted (of course) responsibility to catch loose dogs in our closed community. We love dogs so we don’t really mind unless they are aggressive.
-
DANG the owners’ – NO TAGS major pet peeve of mine!!! An animal cannot speak and a tag is the only possible chance for them to find their way home! Oh she was beautiful and thankfully friendly too. I could tell she was still a puppy. The most gorgeous eyes I have ever seen.
-
I know I looked silly but I sat at the edge of the driveway with pretty dog on a leash and hoped her owner would pass by looking for her. I fed and watered her and we sat. This was after I had already walked down the way to the house I thought she belonged to.
-
Fortunately, a neighbor who walks by often saw me and stopped by to shared her thoughts and also got me the address of the house I thought it may belong to therefore, I could call if the address was in our community pamphlet. Then to my good fortune, the area exterminator drove up to the house across the street and they knew each other. She inquired if he knew this dog and BLESSING, he thought of a family and tried to reach them. The lady left and he stayed to assist. I then mention the house I thought she belonged to; you could tell a light went off in his head. He drove over to the house. He came back and said he believes the dog does belong there because a second gate which, I did not see when I went there first this morning, well that one was open, it's kind of hidden. He was kind and walked the pretty dog back to the home and brought me back my emergency dog catching leashes. I called and left a message for the home owners to call me when they arrived home to verify she was theirs. I just needed to be reassured pretty dog was at her rightful home.
-
It totally changed the morning plans for 2-hours. However, I met two neighbors and a really nice service guy. I know he won’t see this but his unselfish act of kindness was so appreciated – may God grant you a fabulous life Fernando, your a good servant.

The Secret Garden

~
May I suggest a good read or even the movie?
~
"The Secret Garden"
~
One of my childhood favorites
~
The movie was just as spectacular
~

Fulfilled

-
Surprise: I cannot believe I did not see one single student walk by our lot on their first day of school. I didn't even see or hear a single school bus. Last year three would pass. I suspect, knowing our particular community has a vast number of children and the news states we are short school bus drivers; I think maybe there was no bus service today and parents had to make arrangements to get the students to school somehow.
-
Energy Boost: Apparently, I slept well enough to stay up this morning which, is a true pleasure. I had so much energy I rearranged the family room. Not only that but I had such a surge of power, I did the detail cleaning... you know the kind I mean... vacuuming the sofa, the curtains, base boards etc. wow am I pleased with myself. I hope it continues tomorrow :) -
Organ Donors: I so appreciate the families that make this decision when they lose their family member unexpectedly. I saw a brief segment about it today and thanked our Heavenly Father throughout the day many, many times for blessing me with minimal health issues.

On The Home Front

-
Whoa... did we accidentally sleep in late but boy was it needed. Gave us the extra oomph to mow the front & back lawn, pluck the glory seeds, water the yard plants individually and do poop patrol. Let the kids have their freedom run, filled their pools and played ball with them. Cut our very first plume from our pampas, trimmed a new tree and deweeded.
-
Now we relax with a cold can of Coke… mmmmmm and a PB&J… brings out the kid in us : )

-
High school football starts next week… yeah what a treat!
-
Boy do I love golf commercials with the exception of the Crown Plaza ones; don't really like 'em. However, most all other golf commercials are so meaningful and the music is always right on point.. Can you tell we're watching a tournament?

I could SCREAM

-
If I remember correctly, last year when Big Brother All Stars premiered there was nothing else really interesting on so we watched. We tuned in for most of the season. We had not seen any of the previous seasons so it even surprised us. When this season began we were uncertain we would tune in being that the first one was All Stars, a regular season might not be so good... well, we have been watching and hoping to see America and the BBH tenants along with CBS get rid of E.D. this article describes how pretty closely how we feel on most things.
-
Granted, Jen did not give a good first impression and even I was hoping she would get booted right off at first; honey was on the fence. But as I see it after all we have seen on local broadcast, she has kept a relatively positive attitude through all the verbal abuse. I never heard her use any bad words and she was the epitome of 'turn the other cheek'. We do not blame her for losing her cool or the cigarette thing and we understand her anger for CBS bending over for E.D. Unless you read the on-line info, you would not know that the eating rebellion was because CBS got E.D. replacement cigs. Yet they let him do all sorts of stuff to everyone, especially Jen. We would have been mad too. As it is she was most likely being voted out anyway...
-
Our Corner Lot wish Jen the best, sorry to see her go but is was probably the best for her sanity. Hopefully this will be a catalyst for her modeling career.
-
I'd rather vent here than on the message boards.. some of those people are venomous!
-
-
Cheers Blogger's... it's date day and we are headed to the movies, must go beautify

Slow Day Yeah!

I did not get anything accomplished today; boo on me
-
Unfortunately, I did dream again last night but at least it was not disturbing; since it did not completely fade from my memory.
-
Kids had a relatively restful day; minimal barking and they seem to enjoy that we all napped at the same time. I decided to ly on the carpet next to the kitchen floor; at first Sparky and Crikit thought something was wrong with me.. they ran as close as they could to get to me without stepping on the carpet then whined and attempted to lick me . It was so funny. They finally relaxed, laid as close to the carpet as possible and stared at me. I gave a deep sigh which is what they do when they are relaxing and they reciprocated... next thing you know they were sleeping. Apparently I did as well and boy was it nice. I have no clue what Ginger did but I know she didn't bark. I guess the rain helped lullaby us to sleep, mmmm
-
Not much on the tube but dang I am I frustrated that the despicable E.D. is still in the BB house. I felt bad for Jen; how nice for her that she got to dump their butts in the water.
-
Tomorrow is already looking up... honey will be home early! Yeah!

Good Night!

WooHoo!!!
-

A night without dreams! or at least I do not remember them if I did

I am somewhat more rested and the bad dreams are a faint memory!

Pondering thoughts on the prescription vitamin which, I did not take yesterday. Could that have something to do with the sudden sleep time brain activity? We'll see... I just took one :)

  • Under deck project tested today with the sudden rain shower and it worked fabulous!

  • Walking the backyard after the rains I had the pleasure of all the kids following me around, as if we were on a neighborhood walk, awesome!

  • Got a surprise phone call from the honey just to check on us and the weather, awwwh

Another Weird One

What is up with my sleep time!?
Which, btw is so precious to meee

-
All I can think of that has changed in my pattern is a prescription vitamin and maybe that could be stimulating this weird brain activity. I woke around 4 AM from another freaky dream and it took a long time to fall back asleep but wouldn't you know it, just when I returned to sleep the alarm rings, had to drag out of bed again. If I had taken the time to write it down while I tossed and turned, I might have acquired a better sense of what the heck is going on... dang I'm tired !

NOT a Dream Seeker

I prefer the REAL World

I did not have a restful sleep at all. When that first alarm went off this morning I was what the! The TV timer had already gone off so the news seemed to be blasting, I rolled over to try and catch some more zzz’s but that didn’t happen ‘cos the next alarm sounded even louder! AAWWWW now I have to mask the grouchy feelings so I can send the honey off in good spirits. But it just was too tough! Ginger got into the trash and had ketchup cups scattered around her bed and that just set me off dang dog!
-
Thank goodness Hubby has this special knack at saying, gesturing or acting in a way that snaps me right out of the ranting… he did just that, he came into the kitchen made eye contact with the dogs and said: “good luck kids, I’m sorry you have to stay here with her” the dogs all started wagging their tails and headed down the hall behind him for the front door goodbye rubs. Helllooooo what about me??? It worked…I started chuckling ‘cos they were plotting against me.
-
So honey is out the door, I shoo the kids back to the kitchen, I realize I forgot to give the vitamin water packets to the honey so I run to the door and swing it open to see his truck is already gone!!! How is that possible! Was I that scary this morning for him to get out the door, arrange his stuff in the back seat, get in the front and be down the road within like a minute???
-
Well, since the kids didn’t seem to want to go out and potty, I shut the backdoor, gave them a treat and headed up the stairs to lie down and call the hubby. I can only imagine what he thought when he saw my name on caller ID… probably didn’t want to answer. Lol… he answered with yeeeeess and I was ‘where are you’… pretending to be all mad but I quickly altered the tone so he would know I just playing… anyway I wanted him to know that I know he did not warm up the truck, not even 30 sec for him to be where he was by the time I called. Anyway by speeding away from the crime zone so to speak he wasn’t going to have any vit water, ha
-
So I tried to make my eyes close to catch a little more rest and that just didn’t happen. I flipped the channels to see all the morning news. The hubby called to let me know he arrived safe but it seemed as if it was like 2-minutes after I fell back asleep. Okay I think this day is against me, ugh!
-
By 8:47 AM I figured… that’s it I better get up ‘cos there’s no more sleeping for me as it is I need to put the trash out so I don’t miss the truck again. SO I dress grab the inside garbage and head out the back to get the heavy receptacle, roll it to the curb clean up the front, check the new plums (only two, not there like originally thought) and then let the kids out for a quick corner romp. Why just why… so Sparky set my mood back for a second ‘cos gross he grabbed some poop some rude neighbors let their little beast dump a load and they didn’t pick it up!!!! I wish I had caught them because they would have to pay a fine!!! Anyway, I screamed, he dropped it out of his mouth and they all ran to the safety of their backyard. I was so mad at the whole incident that I grabbed the shovel and flipped the poop into the street… now that I am exposing my bad conduct I feel silly but I would look crazy if I want to retrieve it out of the road don’t cha think?
-
When I came in I decided to skip breakfast go for lunch so I grabbed a soda! That always calms me down and I headed for the computer to check my mails and watch some TV. While sitting here I began to wonder why am I having such a crappy day. I don’t want a crappy day and I have to do something to change it so…. I start typing it out and realize it was because of the unexplainable disturbing dream!
-
I’ve never read about what dreams mean so I have no idea what the combination of all the weirdness in the dream means… my memory is so foggy. I guess if I had thought to write everything down I could remember shortly after the honey had left I could get a better analyses of its meaning but…. Remember I was grouchy and sleepy!
-

Edited 08/22: Dream details deleted - it's fading so why keep it in print

It didn’t make sense, it turned my stomach to think about it... I normally forget dreams shortly after I wake but unfortunately not this one... can't remember all of the dream but it weighed heavily on my mind
-
Also, I did not proof any of this original or edited post… I just typed it as fast as it came to mind without thinking about it because I wanted to remember enough to discuss it with my honey and try to make some sense out of it… so I chose to delete the details as I mentioned when I originally posted (then I may delete the post if it is still disturbing me…)
-
I like it better when I just don’t remember dreaming. I guess the next thing is to get lost in some project to help me pass the day... AND I did!

Prepared for Dean

Exhausted - But Done
yeehaw!

-
We are now all inside to recoup, awwwwwwh, ac. The dogs have crashed, the honey is reclining, I'm at the computer and we're listening to some good ministries, did I say awwwwwwh!
-
Under deck water proofing project is done. We should have developed this longtime ago, silly us. We are prepared for any repercussions sent our way from a hurricane or tropical depression. Additionally, it will help keep everything dry and out of the sun on a daily basis... cool beans!
-
I may be exhausted but I have the desire to do some rearranging out back... of course we can't move the trees but... what is up with me??? I must be delirious... lol

Mean Dean making us work!

Tired...
Did I mention I was tired? So if stuff doesn't make sense it's because I'm tired.
-
These Mean Dean warnings combined with the sunshine gave us the kick in the pants to start preparing for the potential problems he may bring. But somehow our project did not go as smoothly as we anticipated. When we discussed it, we figured maybe 30 minutes after we purchased everything; but nooooooooo we only got half of it complete; dang and I feel exhausted! So tomorrow we have to make time and find energy to finish... ugh!
-
Here's why - so we have a deck outside our back door and we have lots of items under it because it is high enough for us to walk under. We have always had a tarp over those items but with the possibility for high winds and heavy rains well, we needed something more secure. Our sun canopy most likely will not withstand the wind so that needs to come down and we currently have yard equipment under that; it's been and extra wet summer. So anyway, Dean made us rethink the situation and we decided to create a more rain proof area under the deck. It turned out to be more complicated then we first thought but it will serve our needs. We just need to get it done!
-
Anyhow, the kids are never happy when it rains... they get cabin fever quickly, so we stocked up on their favorite chews and treats... hopefully that will ease their boredom. Since I cannot bring in Boy Fish my concern for him is high during storms being all alone in the water garden; hmmmm I think I should consider getting him a pond mate. Must discuss with honey... since Girl Fish mysteriously died...
-
Well, we pigged on pizza and now...
-
Mom & Dad of the Lot are tired & stuffed... must rest now, night

OH MY - RAIN

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr***
*aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa**
**iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii*
****nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Storm
-
-

It is so hard to fathom that a rainstorm, not a hurricane, not a tsunami just a fast and heavy downpour can cause such devastation. No hail, no real heavy wind, just fast fast rain, anywhere from 5 to 7 inches yet… ugh! I am so sadden and that dosen’t even come close to truly describing how torn I feel right now…
-
Why, just why why why why? I'm having such a difficult time hearing the news tonight. So many untimely deaths, a couple of hundred water rescues, cars under water, hundreds and hundreds of collisions, some fatal and the most difficult… the young man just taking the family’s car down the road to work, making what turned out to be his last phone call... these people… they were tending to their daily responsibilities and their life was taken from wet roads! Wet roads!! A rainstorm that resulted in flash flooding in some areas of the city ends in shattering so many families!!! Maybe I could understand if it was categorized as a deadly storm but this was just a rainstorm!!!
-
I understand the fear factor when you hear of a devastating storm on the horizon but for that to be the reason you lose your life? Gosh, we needed this rain... how heart wrenching that it results in so many people suffering. Especially those families that woke up and heard about the coming rains... I am certain they would have not ever thought they would have to deal with death before the day closed. I hurt for them. It's still raining... and tears are falling...
-
And to think... just this evening during a break in the rain I enjoyed standing out on deck; I let my hair down to blow in the graceful winds while waiting for my honey and watching the doggies splash around. I was appreciating the beauty of the clouds rolling by as if they were ocean waves crashing upon the shores. They looked so delicate as if the angels were dancing across the sky. It was soothing...

Neighbors Moving

I am realizing more and more that I do not take to change easily. Must be an age thing…
-
I do not really know these neighbors but I have “the awareness” of them. Such as their name(s), faces, cars and living pattern recognition. I would not hesitate to ask for help if need be; now that the moving van is well, in front of their house... I feel like I am losing friends. A chapter in life is closing…
-
So...offered my/our help if needed and will stop by to wish them well. Hope they like Krispy Kreams and they better like my Aloe plant... lol

Blog Friends

Do you know they are the nicest kind? Whether they know you visit or not, they allow you to peek in on their life journey's. At times they may bring you shared joy, intrigue, new knowledge, laughs and even sadness.

The emotions we share
The crosses we bare

The loves
The losses

Whatever we dare...

I have found myself caring for so many bloggers. Whether I comment or not, I visit several regularly. I find to some degree it's my way of 'paying it forward'. I read, sometimes I comment and quite often include them in prayer. I allow some posts to stay with me through the day and even wander into my conversation. In the world of blogspot I am your silent, no attention needed, friend to lean on. Forget not, it's likely you have an abundance of blog friends, many you are unaware of; remember they care enough to visit...

Is it really Monday?

-
Today was a difficult awakening – that’s what we get for staying up late to watch a movie on TV that we own… what’s up with us?! But really who wants to pass up "One Night With The King" best rendition on the book of Esther ever... At least the kids were settled and we were already in bed but still…
-
So... the CT wasn’t so bad this time around and on a positive note: Henry G. the technician was pretty cool. He gave me some insight on matters and I left determined not to worry. As it is, worry is a useless tax on one’s emotions; just trust in the Lord (easier said than done sometimes).
-
Apparently, I have forgotten how good strawberry preserves taste on bread. Mark one up for a good childhood memory mmmm what a lunch.
-
Did some blog visits and now the dogs are calling… we didn’t play this morning and it was apparent they missed their special time. When I arrived home they saw me through the gate and little one began crying instead of heading to their doggy door to meet me inside. However, once I walked through the front door I could hear all of them vocalizing their thoughts about me having left them this morning. Interesting how I'm the one following the commands as I scurry through the house to quickly get to their room (kitchen) to ask for forgiveness :) - oh goodness they bring us such joy
-
I so look forward to my honey getting home; as do the kids
I have no UMPH today
My intentions were to finally cut off my hair for "Locks of Love" but...
I keep forgetting to charge the camera batteries; why you ask?
I know I will not ever intentionally grow it this long again and I must take pictures
I'm beginning to acquire the natural highlights therefore, my tails will be rejected and who wants rejection
even if it is only your 'locks'
*******
New plan: go charge batteries right now
curl hair tonight
takes pictures tomorrow
cut the last ever ponytail for the cause
*******
perhaps if I write it down...
