It is so hard to fathom that a rainstorm, not a hurricane, not a tsunami just a fast and heavy downpour can cause such devastation. No hail, no real heavy wind, just fast fast rain, anywhere from 5 to 7 inches yet… ugh! I am so sadden and that dosen’t even come close to truly describing how torn I feel right now…

Why, just why why why why? I'm having such a difficult time hearing the news tonight. So many untimely deaths, a couple of hundred water rescues, cars under water, hundreds and hundreds of collisions, some fatal and the most difficult… the young man just taking the family’s car down the road to work, making what turned out to be his last phone call... these people… they were tending to their daily responsibilities and their life was taken from wet roads! Wet roads!! A rainstorm that resulted in flash flooding in some areas of the city ends in shattering so many families!!! Maybe I could understand if it was categorized as a deadly storm but this was just a rainstorm!!!

I understand the fear factor when you hear of a devastating storm on the horizon but for that to be the reason you lose your life? Gosh, we needed this rain... how heart wrenching that it results in so many people suffering. Especially those families that woke up and heard about the coming rains... I am certain they would have not ever thought they would have to deal with death before the day closed. I hurt for them. It's still raining... and tears are falling...

And to think... just this evening during a break in the rain I enjoyed standing out on deck; I let my hair down to blow in the graceful winds while waiting for my honey and watching the doggies splash around. I was appreciating the beauty of the clouds rolling by as if they were ocean waves crashing upon the shores. They looked so delicate as if the angels were dancing across the sky. It was soothing...

Emancipated, so nice to have you stop by. Yes...The reported "no big deal rainstorm" left me speechless. But as you can see... I updated. I enjoy your visits; stop by often

I am sorry I didn't see the updated version until now....I am beginning to see why you are so concerned for your Caribbean neighbours....In God we trust.

My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones in this tragedy. I think we should however accept that in the midst of loss there is appreciation of life...as evidenced in your blog....our job is simple then, trust that God has a plan and he will give us all we need to get by in this life and beyond.
